Orange glaze test.

Can I have your thoughts on this glaze.
The grey patch near the top is from a spot of ash, which I quite like.

  1. Yes like the ash spot. Would like to see how it breaks on texture.Looks like a useful glaze :)

  2. Not quite sure I'd call it orange, but it is soft and creamy looking.

  4. "Soft and creamy" is a good description, I think. It makes me think of a peach smoothie (or a wiener ;-). Somehow very modern and traditional at the same time...

  5. Looks like some pinholing on the right hand side? What temp are you firing to? Would be interesting to see it at Cone 11 or applied a touch thinner

In my head I see it on the outside with a quiet liner glaze, a satin white or even a leach gloss.

The peach is a little saturated for me (but i'm super subdued!), have you done a line blend on this?

but i love the satiny unctuous quality

  6. Tamara: a wiener! I can see that

Sophie: the bisque clay probably (more than) had some dust, but I am going to lengthen the soak.
    I like your glaze suggestion.
